Staying safe

Sihimoge does not handle payments or verify users. A few habits keep you safe:

• Meet in a public place during the day. Take someone with you for big items.
• Inspect before you pay. Check the item works and matches the ad.
• Never pay in advance or send money to "hold" an item. Avoid UPI/bank transfers to strangers before you have the goods.
• Be wary of prices that are too good, sellers who refuse to meet, courier or "agent" stories, and requests for OTPs or card details.
• For jobs: a genuine employer never asks you to pay a fee for a job.
• Protect your privacy. Use in-app messaging first; share your number only when you are comfortable. You can post anonymously.
• Report anything suspicious. It helps everyone.
